The Alehouse Brew Crew

Andy Armstrong - Brewer

Andy Armstrong – Brewer

Andy Armstrong hails from the Midwest, where he obtained a degree in Philosophy and Music from Cornell College. Despite the overwhelming number of job prospects in these fields, Andy fell into brewing while working at Philadelphia's in Portland, Oregon. Starting on a 3-barrel system, Andy developed his brewing skills and was eventually recruited by BJ's Brewhouse in Portland. After winning several State and National medals, Andy was tasked with opening the Roseville BJ's Brewhouse, leaving behind the verdant hills of Portland for the suburbs of Sacramento. Eventually, Andy moved on to Beerman's Beerwerks, then Geikkekan Sake, then American River Brewing Company, colecting medals for his recipes along the way. After the closure of American River Brewing, Andy was snatched up by Auburn Alehouse to be a part-time brewer. Andy enjoys drinking Maibocks and Flanders Reds, playing bass with the 'Splodeyheads,' and developing his sweet nunchuck skills.
