Greetings from the Alehouse!

Happy Spring everyone! Brewer Bill and I have some great specials lined up for you this month! April always brings us Scarlet Harlot, our American-style Red Ale! In case you forgot, here’s the mouth-watering description:

An impressive dose of dark Crystal malts lend a toasty-sweet malt character and deep red color while Simcoe and Cascade hops provide 50 IBU’s of hop bitterness and flavor that balance the body but leave a slightly bitter finish. Centennial and Simcoe handle the aroma department via Dry-hopping in both the Fermenter and Brite tanks. This is a Craft beer drinkers delight!

Scarlet pairs very well with menu items such as the Brewmaster’s Burger, Chili, Plowman’s platter and Cheese loaf!

Brewed by the Alehouse Girls for the annual WEAVE benefit (Women in Brewing) put on by our good friends at the Rubicon Brewing Company. 2010 event date is April 24th starting @ 11am at the Rubicon!

Scarlet will be tapped here at the Alehouse on Wednesday, April 21st!

The next special due at the end of the week is an all-new brew called “Rye not?”  Rye Not? is brewed with nearly 25% rye malt. This seasonal spring ale is similar to a wheat ale: smooth, light-bodied and an easy drinker. The addition of Malted Rye adds a crisp, clean malty sweetness that is perfect for a sunny spring day. Rye Not? Pairs perfectly with pasta, fish and most of our Alehouse specialty salads.

Looking ahead to next month we are hoping to get our label approval and bottle the PU240!  You heard that right, 22 ounce “bombers” of PU240 Imperial IPA.

That’s all for April, enjoy the rest of the spring showers!
