Fill 'er up! Kelly Perkins, a bartender and bar manager for nearly two years, fills a 64-ounce growler. The new Alehouse "Frequent Filler" program offers a sweet deal when you purchase 10 growlers.

One of the hottest selling products at the Auburn Alehouse these days isn’t even consumed in the building. “We’re selling more than 100 growlers of beer every week,” said Brewmaster Brian Ford, “So, we’ve designed a new rewards promotion for our customers who regularly take beer home.”

Dubbed the “Frequent Filler” program, craft beer lovers purchase a card for 10 growlers of any regularly brewed beer. By paying $108 (plus tax) in advance, they will take home 10 growlers for the price of nine (includes empty growler). Growlers are normally priced at $12.00 each for a 64-ounce, refillable bottle (first fill is $16). (Note that some limited-production craft beers will not qualify for this promotion.)

“It’s simple. . .just bring in your empty, clean growler, we’ll punch your card, fill your growler and you’re on your way,” Brian said. “It’s convenient, quick and the sweet thing is our best customers save money.”

Brian said he is exploring two additional upgrades for growler groupies: the Alehouse may soon begin selling gallon-sized growlers, and he eventually hopes to be able to ship growlers thanks to a new bottling capability in development.
